Arthur (Art) Weber

Mr. Arthur F. (Art) Weber of Millington, Michigan passed away early Friday evening May 15, 2020. Art was 91.

Art was born in Millington, Michigan on April 14, 1929 and was the son of the late Alvin and Ida (Petzold) Weber.  Art has been a resident of Millington his entire life.  He has also been a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  As a young man he served in the US-Army during the Korean War.  On September 2, 1950 Art married Miss Ilene Petzold, and together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before Ilene’s passing away January of 2014.  Art also farmed and milked cows for many years. Art retired from the Millington Elevator working with the company for many years and performing many tasks while employed.  He was a member of the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Légion Post 164. He participated with the Legion Marching Drill Team for many years.  Art was also a familiar face at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School helping to keep the grounds looking good, and if needed helping the Janitorial Staff at the school.

Art leaves his family, son and daughter in-law Larry & Pam Weber, and a daughter and son in-law, Maureen & Ray Sowden. He also leaves five grandchildren, Timothy, Kendra, Elizabeth, Jill, and Stephanie and 17 great-grandchildren. Surviving also; three sisters; Linda Rhode, Ruth Schiefer, and Flora Weber, two sister in-laws, Loretta Weber, and Marion Petzold, a brother in-law Wayne Petzold, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides his wife and parents Art is also preceded in death by a granddaughter Shelley, and a brother Erwin.

Private burial services will be held with burial at the Millington Township Cemetery.
