Bradley W. (Brad) Blackmer of Otter Lake and Millington MI passed away early Saturday evening November 11, 2017 while at Mc Laren of Flint, Brad was 50.


Brad was born in Wichita, Kansas December 7, 1966 and was the son of the late Joel and Violet (Feathers) Blackmer. Brad work a lot of years in the drywall industry. He loved being outdoors, and pursuing his dream of becoming a Cowboy. His passion in life was his son Jededia of whom he loved dearly. Family and friends in general were top priority in his life.


Brad leaves to cherish his memory is his son; Jedediah. He leaves also his siblings; Cheryl and David Hanson, Michelle Kennedy, and Michael Kennedy. Parents; Trina and John Stewart, cousin and special care giver Phil Blackmer, uncles; Mike and Alice Blackmer, Bob and Ethel Blackmer, and Dick and Nolavay Blackmer. He leaves also his awesome family of care givers; those of Advisea Care, and all of his wonderful Therapists and all of their staff members. And a special thanks to good friend Stewart Pletcher for keeping Brads Cowboy dreams real. Besides his parents Joel and Violet, Brad is also preceded in death by a brother Frank.


Brad’s family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Wednesday Nov. 15, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00pm A celebration of Brads life will begin at 7:00 pm. Following the services as Brad has requested cremation will follow with a private burial at a later date. Memorial gifts in Brad’s memory can be directed to the family.
