OTISVILLE, formerly MILLINGTON – Mr. Bruce Robert Burns, aged 77, a caring, dedicated, proud, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was called home to his Lord & Savior on September 5, 2026.

Bruce was born on June 6, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to parents George & Iris (Kinney) Burns. He was raised alongside his siblings and graduated from Millington High School with the class of 1967. On August 5, 1972, he wed his high school sweetheart, the former Geraldine Yorke. Together they have shared countless memories, raised their children, and recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. In his working years, Bruce was a supervisor in the machine repair department at A/C Delphi. He took great pride in his work and could always be counted on to fix any problems that arose. Bruce was an exceptional family man, and he could fix almost anything. He remodeled the family home and built several grandfather clocks. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Burns; son, Scott (Annette) Burns; daughter, Tonia Lince; grandson, Drake Burns (fiancée, Amber Baker); great-grandchildren: Loki and Sasha; siblings: Mark (Elaine) Burns, Brenda Bacon, Brian (Julie) Burns, and SueAnn Ingram; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Bruce is reunited with his parents, George and Iris Burns; and uncle, Paul Kinney.

Bruce’s family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 2 – 7 PM on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026; additional time visiting will begin at 10 AM and last until the time of service. Burial to follow in Millington Township Cemetery.
