Mr. Carl Wayne Kralik, aged 87, went home to his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Carl entered life on February 14, 1939, at the family home in Akron, Michigan, the son of Carl Kralik and Bernice Bosley. He graduated from Vassar High School with the class of 1957. On August 24, 1957, he married the love of his life, Maureen Ann Dees. Together they shared countless memories, raised their five children, and celebrated over 68 years of marriage. Sadly, Maureen passed away on May 5, 2026; but we are comforted that they are reunited again. Carl proudly served in the United States Air Force for 8 years. The couple lived in Montana during Carl's military service and then returned to Michigan and settled in Clio.
Carl worked for many years as a supervisor with General Motors, a position he retired from in 1997. The couple then retired to Vassar where they operated a goat farm, Calico Tree Goats. He and Maureen were longtime members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, and currently members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with engines. Carl could build almost anything, including 2 family homes, and several of his own muzzleloaders. He was also active in several shooting/bow clubs. Further, Carl had a deep love of animals and rehabilitated many, from bees to birds to goats. Above all, Carl's happiest moments were spent with his wife and family.
He is survived by his children: Cindy Kralik, Scott Kralik, Micah (Robin) Kralik, and Michele Alberts; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Kralik; grandchildren: Anthony Kralik, Brian (Jessica) Good, Justin Kralik, Heather Kralik, Miranda (Shane) Horton, Cassidy (Emily Bishop) Kralik, Christian (Alyssa) Alberts, and Alexis Alberts; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Naoma Lehner, and Marsha (Bill) Masker; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Carl is reunited with his beloved wife, Maureen A. Kralik; son, Sean Kralik; grandson, Keith Kralik; great-grandson, Justin Kralik; mother, Bernice (the late Alvin) Stewdard; father, Carl Kralik; sister, Barbara (the late Norman) Kern; brother-in-law, Joseph Lehner; as well as other family members.
Carl's family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 3 - 7 PM on Monday, August 17, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026; additional time of visiting will begin at 10 AM. Rev. Jim Bruner will preside. Interment private at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may direct memorial gifts to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Residential Hospice.
