Charles Baldwin

Mr. Charles F. Baldwin of Tuscola-Vassar passed away Thursday October 31, 2013 while at St. Mary's of Saginaw, Charles was 84.

Charles was the son of the late Albert and Carolyn (Roth) Baldwin and was born in Tuscola Twp. On February 18, 1929. Charles retired from the G.-Heilman Brewery (formally Carlings Brewery) of Frankenmuth. Charles was also a member of the Arbela United Methodist Church and was a member of the IOOF. He was a charter member of the Dead Stream Hunting Club. Charles favorite thing in life was to spend time with his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. On August 21, 1970 Charles married Carolyn Blasius, they have celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Charles is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Carol Wegrzyn, son Charles A. & wife Nancy Baldwin and son-in-law Tom & wife Connie Strieter. Six grandchildren Scott & Kim Wegrzyn, Timothy & JoAnn Wegrzyn, Tracy and Kevin Kaul, Chad & Amy Baldwin, Kevin Strieter, Michael & Audrey Strieter, 9 great grandchildren; Brian, Zachary, Nicholas, David, Kinsey, Andrew, Connor, Megan, and Teague. Also surviving two brothers; Leon & Mary Baldwin, Jimmie & Barbara Shoens, as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends.

Charles is preceded in death by, his parents, first wife Phyllis in 1969, daughter Charlene Strieter in 1989, brothers Welcome Baldwin, Harrison Shoens, and son-in-law John Wegrzyn in 2012.

Service Information

Funeral Services were helded on Monday November 4, 2013 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington. The burial followed at the Tuscola Twp. Cemetery in Tuscola Michigan. Pastor Bruce Malicoat delivered the funeral message and closing prayers at the cemetery. Memorial Gift of Remembrance can be directed to the Arbela United Methodist Church or charity of one's choice.
