Christina N. VanLuchene

Christina Nicole VanLuchene, age 39, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Christina was born on August 2, 1985, in Cass City, Michigan. She grew up in Vassar and graduated from Vassar High School with the class of 2003. Christina formerly worked as a caregiver, server, and as pharmacy technician. She enjoyed spending time on the water, boating, kayaking, and tanning. She also enjoyed being social with friends, listening to music, and spending time with her beloved family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children: Asia Sperry, and Kylar Show; parents, Joan Forbush, and Mark (Amy) Forbush; sisters: Marie (Paul) Kienitz, Alexandria Forbush, and Tabitha Forbush; as well as nieces, a nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends.

Christina was preceded in death by her uncle, Terrance Blogg; grandparents, Mary Thomas, Geraldine VanLuchene, and Frederick Forbush; and cousin, Cade Mileski.

Christina’s family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar from 3 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025; additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Afterward, Christina will be laid to rest in Tuscola Twp. Cemetery.
