MILLINGTON – Mr. Christopher Sherman “Chris” Weakley, aged 45, our loving, caring, and kind father, son, brother, nephew, and friend and “real cool dude” passed away on July 19, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Chris was born on November 25, 1980, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Sherman & Karri (Cain) Weakley. He grew up in Mayville and graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1999. He spent several years working with GM at the Flint Assembly Plant and later owned and operated his lawn care business, CW Lawn Care. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and annually attended the Thanksgiving Day game. Chris had many passions and hobbies that included riding dirt bikes and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, telling a good dad joke, smoking & grilling meats, fishing, hunting, a love for eagles that he shared with his dad, tinkering with side projects, and RC cars. Above all, Chris’ greatest joy in this world was his daughter, Kalie Weakley; and everything he did was for her. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Kalie Weakley; stepson, Blake Bowman; mother, Karri (Brad) Smith; sister, Kelli (Andrew) Johnson; several step-siblings; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Weakley; and his grandparents, Sam & Gladys Cain.
Chris’ family will receive guests at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 3 – 7 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026; additional time of visiting will begin at 12 PM and last until the time of service. Interment will follow in North Grove Cemetery, Caro, Michigan.
