Darlene Gardner

Mrs. Darlene K. (Swanton) Gardner of Millington, Michigan (Arbela Twp.) passed away Saturday April 23, 2022, surrounded by her family at the age of 71.

Darlene was born in Flint, Michigan on December 20, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Donald and Pauline (Nelson) Swanton. Darlene married William Gardner Jr on July 12, 1969, and together they have celebrated 52 years of marriage and many wonderful memories.

Darlene leaves her husband Bill. She also leaves her children; William (Cathleen) Gardner III, Tonya (Ken) Shumate, and Paul (Jennie) Gardner, her six granddaughters, Krysten, Ashley, Toni, Avery, Brenna, Meghan, her two great grandsons Hudson and Nathan. Darlene leaves her sister, Dottie Perkins, and a brother Duwayne Swanton, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides her parents Darlene is preceded in death by a sister Diane, and a brother Donald.

The family has honored Darlene’s request and cremation has taken place. There will not be any services, Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan has been assisting the family with arrangements.
