David Kennard

David Ray Kennard a life time resident of Vassar passed Tuesday July 10, 2012, David passed away peacefully at St.Mary's Hospital after a courageous battle with pneumonia, David was 59.

David was born and raised in Vassar and graduated from Vassar High School. He worked for the Sheriff's Department and building construction for many years.

He was one of four children born to Raymond and Dolores Kennard and was beloved by Michelle Kennard for over 30 years. David will forever be remembered by his caring brother Michael Kennard, and loving sisters Kimberly Cunningham and Karen Becker, beloved children Erik Kennard and Elaine and Bill Germain, treasured grandchildren Emily, Kaylee, Alec and Carly, and caring special niece Elizabeth Sousa, his parents along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. David loved laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends and doing home improvements. David touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Funeral services were held Friday July 13, 2012 at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar with Pastor James Naumann delivering the funeral message and closing prayers. Cremation followed the services and private burial of the urn will be at a later date.
