MILLINGTON – Delia Elaine Cothern, affectionately known to loved ones as “Mama Dee”, aged 65, our caring, intelligent, faithful, and loving mother, “Nanny”, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was called away on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Delia was born in Davison, Michigan, on January 7, 1961, to Howard Smith & Faith Wible. In her working years she lent her talents as a tax preparer and as a metallurgist. A woman of faith, Delia was had a close relationship with her Lord and belonged to several Baptist and Pentecostal churches. Delia had many interests and passions in life including reading, watching movies, listening to music, and swimming. She found peace in the tranquility of the outdoors and enjoyed camping, swimming, and had a great fondness for animals. Above all, Delia’s happiest moments were spent with her family, and she cherished the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is forever loved by her children: Josh (Autumn) Williams, Holly (Jay Mardlin) Williams, and David (Tina) Cothern; father, Mr. Howard Smith; grandchildren: Aries Williams, Xavier Williams, Ryker Williams, Lily Mardlin, Mark Cothern, Jesse Cothern, and Asher Cooper; great-grandchild, Atlas Williams; siblings: Larry (Becky) Smith, Randy (Connie) Smith, Chris Smith, Glena, Cheri, Darrel, Tisha, and Lance; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Delia is reunited with her husband, Ron Williams; husband, David Cothern; and mother, Faith Girard.

A Celebration of Delia’s life will take place at the Millington Church of God on from 11 AM – 4 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
