Dorothy (Leader) Shelton

Mrs. Dorothy (Leader) Shelton of Millington, Michigan, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at her residence with her family at her side at the age of 69.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Graham and Dorothy (Beswick) Leader and was born in Highland Park, Michigan, on April 22, 1954.  Besides her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger; and two brothers, David and Richard Leader.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, her companion and family. Her companion, Keith Acre; three children: Paul Shelton, Tracy Shelton, and David Shelton; her grandchildren: Taylor, Madelyn, and Jimmy; a great-grandson, Abel.  Also leaving a sister and a brother in-law, Evelyn (Bill) Bach; and a brother, Robert Leader; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Dorothy will be remembered for always helping and caring for anyone who was in need.

In keeping with Dorothy’s wish cremation has taken place there will be a celebration of Dorothy’s life, on Saturday December 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Millington Community Center.  You’re welcome to share condolences, or a memory at hanlinfuneralhome.com.
