Duane D. Batterbee

Duane D. Batterbee of Gladwin Michigan, formerly of Millington, and Vassar, Michigan passed away late Friday evening July 14, 2023, at the age of 57.

Duane was the son of Donald & Virginia (Harmon) Batterbee and was born in Flint, Michigan

on September 6, 1965. Duane grew up in Millington where he graduated from Millington High

School. He worked for many years as a carpenter, owning and operating his own business. 

Duane loved to hunt, and fish but most of all his pride and joy were his two children, and his family, who he loved spending time with.

Duane leaves his children. Alanna Mihyar, Tristin Townley, Caitlyn and Joseph Batterbee,

grandson Kayden Schribner, Duane’s parents; Donald & Virginia Batterbee. He also leaves his

siblings; Brenda Batterbee, Dan (Tammy) Batterbee, Matt (Dammie) Batterbee, Jason (Becki)

Batterbee, and Aaron (Heather) Batterbee and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; Hugh

& Maggie Harmon, Jim & Lila Sisson, Charlotte Mallow, Kenneth Osborn, and Albert Harmon,

and many cousins.

Duane is preceded in death by infant son, Travis Lynn Batterbee, grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Stewart Batterbee, Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Harmon, as well as other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Riverside

Cemetery in Vassar, (located on Frankenmuth Road).

Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the family for a memorial to be decided

later.
