George Proctor Sr.

Mr. George A.  Proctor Sr. of Millington, MI passed away at his home Tuesday March 13, 2018. George was 85.

George was born January 18, 1933 in Flint, Michigan and was the son of the late Marlon and Florence (Bennett) Proctor. On July 16, 1955 George married Miss Phyllis Weiler, Phyllis has preceded him in death. George served in the US- Army during the Korean War. After returning from Korea he went to work for General Motors. After he retired for General Motors, George owned and operated his own trucking business, Proctor Trucking operating his business for about 10 years.

George leaves his family. Son George A. Proctor Jr., daughter Tracy Schlis, and son Mark Proctor. He leaves also five grandchildren, two brothers and a sister in law; Erwin and Pat Proctor, and Flett Proctor, a sister and brother in-law; Janet and John Hampel. George also leaves nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Besides his wife and parents. George is also preceded in death by a son Dale.

Private funeral services will be held at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI with the burial to be at the Millington Township Cemetery. If you’d like to give a gift in remembrance of George the family has suggested a charity of your choice.
