James Gleason

James Leslie (Jamie) Gleason of Bay City, MI formerly of Millington, MI passed away suddenly on Monday April, 27, 2015 at the Munson Health Care Medical Center in Cadillac, MI Jamie was 26.

Jamie was the son of Kenton and Tracey (Smith) Gleason and was born on August 5th, of 1988. He grew up in Millington where he graduated from Millington High School. He was currently employed with a contracting company as a supervisor. Jamie had just became certified for aspesties removal. Jamie grew up loving the outdoors, he loved to hunt, and fish. He also grew up in a baseball playing family and loved the game. His glove was never out of reach just in case there was a team that needed one more. Though Jamie left us all too soon he will live on in our hearts forever.

Jamie leaves his parents; Kenton and Tracey Gleason, fiancee Alicia Genge, brother and sister in-law; Trevor and Angel Gleason, a sister Mellicha Gleason, two very special nieces; Sophia, and Emelyn. Jamie also leaves his grandparents, Mr & Mrs Byron and Lucretia Smith, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Jamie also leaves his three dogs that he loved dearly; Bella, Mossy Oak, and Gus. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Fleet and Eleanor Gleason, aunt Amy Gleason, and a cousin Zachary McPherson.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Thursday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Millington United Methodist Church (the actual location is pending) and the burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later time.
