VASSAR – Jennifer Marion Tompkins, aged 58, our caring, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away on May 17, 2026, in Royal Oak, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family.

Jennifer was born on October 18, 1967, in Saginaw, Michigan. She grew up in the Mayville area and attended North Branch Wesleyan Academy. Afterwards, she worked as a salesclerk for several retail businesses. She enjoyed wearing stylish fingernails and she was always in search of the next fun pair. Above all, family was of the utmost importance to Jennifer, and she greatly enjoyed the time she spent with “my little monkeys”. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Janet (Richard) Tiedeman; daughter, Amanda (Charles) Keenum; “my little monkeys”: Owen, Brycen, Jayden, Evelyn, and Raelyn; brother, Dale; stepsisters: Ruth Hawk, Becky Roberts, and Joy Kirklin; nephew, Ian; nieces, nephews, and cousins; special cousin, Tricia; sister-in-law, Candace; and other family members.

Jennifer is reunited with her brother, Ron Tompkins; “little monkey”, baby Keenum; and other family members.

A time of remembrance for Jennifer will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Hanlin Funeral Home - Vassar; the family will welcome guests beginning at 2 PM.
