AKRON - John Aulbert, aged 91, passed away on April 25, 2026. He was the son of the late Vivian and Lettie (Hall) Aulbert. He was born in Fairgrove, MI on June 21, 1934. On September 13, 1952, John married Arlene Childs. Together, they shared over 50 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories before her passing on June 30, 2003. They had 2 children, Carole (Rob) Gross and Kenneth Aulbert; 4 grandchildren: Michelle (Matthew) King, Kenneth (Carina) Aulbert, Raechel Aulbert, and Nicholas (Nicole) Aulbert; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Lomila Chamberlain, Donald (Mary Lou) Aulbert, Robert Aulbert, and many nieces and nephews.

A proud veteran, John served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to the State of Michigan. He was a devout Christian and a member of Juanita Baptist Church. John found great joy in the outdoors, particularly when pheasant hunting or fishing. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, sharing stories and spending time together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Arlene; and siblings, Shirley Bachman, and James Aulbert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

John will be privately laid to rest next to his wife, Arlene, in Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove, Michigan.
