LAKE ODESSA, formerly MILLINGTON - Kenneth Paul “Kenny” Brewer, age 59, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He went home to our Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and those he loved in the comfort of his own home.
Kenny was a wonderful husband, son, father, and a joy for all who knew him. He was currently a human resources manager with Lack’s Enterprises. A position that he thoroughly enjoyed as it brought him close to many coworkers and friends. He was always quick with a joke or to lend a helping hand. He is forever loved by his wife of 40 years, Traci (née Smith) whom he treasured; daughter, Jessica (Edward); son, Lane (Mandy); grandchildren: Cady, Carson, Lane, Kase, Hadley, and Kenneth; parents, Duane & Donna Brewer; brother, Gary (Karen); sisters, Kim (Vic), Theresa (Dan); father-and-mother-in-law, David and Deanna; brothers-in-law, Randy and Tim; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.
Kenny was preceded in death by his sister, Patty, and niece, Melissa.
Ken’s greatest joy in life was his family and the time he spent with them. He loved his wife, Traci. He met her when he was only 14 years old, her 13, and together they forged a love that would span nearly half a century. The two were inseparable, and together they shared countless memories and raised their children Lane and Jessica. Ken was a doting father who instilled in his children a love of family, nature, and music.
Ken also loved his dog, Topper. They were the best of friends and Topper was waiting on the rainbow bridge for his Papa. Ken loved so many things, including bonfires and family gatherings, camping, riding his ranger, swimming, and watching Lord of the Rings.
A memorial gathering will be held at The Loft (1037 4th Avenue, Lake Odessa, MI 48849) from 12 - 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held in Millington in the summer of 2026. Details will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to a local humane society to honor Ken’s love of animals.
