Kurt R. Perry

October 30, 1965 — September 16, 2023

Arbela Twp.

Kurt Richard Perry passed away after a brief illness on the evening of September 16 at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 30, 1965 in Flint, Michigan. He was a 1983 graduate of Millington High school and a 2010 graduate of Mott Community College. He enjoyed an occasional round of golf and atv riding. His main hobby was caring for the family yard to which he dedicated much of his free time. Once the work was done he loved watching the deer, turkeys, and ducks visit the pond. He found much joy in the company of his favorite K9 companion, the lovable and rambunctious sheep dog named Ralph. Until Ralph’s passing, they were inseparable around the house.

During his working years he was employed at several different companies, the most recent and his hands-down favorite of them all, was Estes Express Lines in Flint where he utilized his skill on a forklift to efficiently and accurately load waiting semi trucks to deliver their cargo all across the country.

Kurt is survived by his mother Dorothy, brother Mitch (Ellen), nephew Logan (Elenie, and great niece and nephew Elizabeth and John), niece Hunter (Rob), and Aunt Barbra Sergent along with many cousins and extended family.

Per his request there is no service planned. A memorial for Kurt will be placed at Gunnell Cemetery, Arbela Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kurt’s name to either the American Cancer Society or Americans Hospice Care located at 2575 McLeod Dr, N Suite C, Saginaw, Michigan.

Finally, the family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff of Americans Hospice Care, especially Heather who was Kurt’s nurse, for the outstanding care he received during this trying time. There are no words that can express the family’s gratitude.

Kindly share a memory of Kurt in the guestbook below.
