Marianne Rose Charlton June 26, 1932 – October 13, 2020 Marianne Rose Charlton, “Momma”, returned to her heavenly home on October 13, 2020 at her daughter Carol’s home, after a long and wonderful life. Her devotion to her family and her belief in God supported her throughout her life. Marianne was born to the late Henry & Mary Cupal of West Court Street, Flint, Michigan. She was a devout Catholic, saying the rosary and going to Mass. Marianne graduated from Dye High School, then went on to nursing school at Mount Carmel. She met her husband, Thomas W. Charlton, at General Motors where she was employed as an industrial nurse. Over the years, she also worked at St. Joseph Hospital and Keith Haven Nursing Home as a registered nurse. Marianne raised six children with patience, discipline, and humility. She helped her husband run a boat livery on Murphy Lake in Millington, Michigan. She enjoyed canning, embroidery, sewing and baking, and an occasional chocolate malted! Marianne is survived by her brother Paul (Leslie) Cupal, her six children, Ann, Beth, Carol, Tommy, Denise, and Mark. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Mary Cupal, two brothers. Hank and Richard Cupal and sister Henrietta Cupal.

Services will be private and the burial will follow at the MIllington Township Cemetery in Millington, Michigan. Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI has been assisting the Charlton family with arrangements. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of your choice.
