THREE RIVERS, formerly VASSAR – Mrs. Martha Joan Albrecht, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Martha was born on March 21, 1936, in Clarksville, Michigan, to Tobias & Mattie Schrock (Miller). She was the youngest of six children and grew up in Clarksville. She met the love of her life, Virgil “Virg” Albrecht at Fairview Bible School; the two dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 30, 1956. They moved to Vassar in 1965 where they raised their children, shared countless memories, and celebrated over 68 years of marriage before Virg’s passing on May 9, 2025. Martha and Virgil were members of Pineview Mennonite Church and were active as youth sponsors for many years. Early in their marriage, Martha was a sales manager with Tupperware. In 2018, Martha and Virg moved to Three Rivers, Michigan, to be closer to family. She and Virg enjoyed wintering in Sarasota, Florida for many years. Martha loved her family and was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren. Every summer she would host her grandchildren for a week filled with numerous activities and plenty of ice cream. She loved to take photos and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Time spent with her family brought her great joy and she loved hosting family events and get-togethers.

She is forever loved by her children: Dennis (Brenda) Albrecht, Darl (Lonna) Albrecht, and Karen (Conrad) Miller; grandchildren: Cara, Tyler, Dustin, Spencer, Kaitlyn, Seth, Reid, Ethan, and Tiffany; six great-grandsons; eleven great-granddaughters; brother, Edward Schrock; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Martha is reunited in heaven with her husband, Virg Albrecht; son, Dean Albrecht, grandson, Jesse Albrecht; brothers, Oscar Schrock, and Orie Schrock; and sisters, Mae Wenger, and Mary Birkey.

Funeral services for Martha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Pineview Mennonite Church, Vassar; visitation at church will begin at 1:00 p.m. and last until the time of service. Pastor Roger Hazen will officiate. Afterward, Martha will be laid to rest next to Virgil in Pineview Mennonite Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Albrecht, Dustin Albrecht, Spencer Miller, Seth Albrecht, Reid Albrecht, and Ethan Miller.
