VASSAR, formerly CLIO – Mrs. Maureen Ann Kralik, aged 87, went home to her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen entered life on August 16, 1938, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Marshall & Ardell Dees (née Hodgin). She was the oldest of three children and grew up in Saginaw and graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1956. On August 24, 1957, she wed the love of her life, Mr. Carl Wayne Kralik. Together they shared countless memories, raised their five children, and celebrated over 68 years of marriage. The couple lived in Montana while Carl was serving in the military before returning to Michigan and settling in Clio. Maureen was an avid photographer and owned and operated her business, Calico Tree Photography. Maureen and Carl then retired to Vassar and ran a goat farm, Calico Tree Goats. A woman of faith, Maureen was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, and currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. She spent several years involved with the March of Dimes organization. In her leisure time, Maureen enjoyed spending time on the lake, camping, canoeing, and backpacking. Above all, her happiest moments were spent with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Carl W. Kralik; children: Cindy Kralik, Scott Kralik, Sean (Kathryn) Kralik, Micah (Robin) Kralik, and Michele Alberts; grandchildren: Anthony Kralik, Brian (Jessica) Good; Justin Kralik, Heather Kralik, Miranda (Shane) Horton, Cassidy (Emily Bishop) Kralik, Christian (Alyssa) Alberts, and Alexis Alberts; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Naoma Lehner, and Marsha (Bill) Masker; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Maureen is reunited with her grandson, Keith Kralik; great-grandson, Justin Kralik; parents, Marshall & Ardell Dees; mother-in-law, Bernice (the late Alvin) Steward; father-in-law, Carl Kralik; brothers-in-law, Joseph Lehner, and Norman Kern; and sister-in-law, Barbara Kern; as well as other family members.

Maureen’s family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026; additional time of visiting will begin at 10:00 AM and last until the time of service. Rev. Jim Bruner will officiate. Private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.

Those desiring, are asked to consider memorial gifts to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Residential Hospice.

The family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful nurses and staff at Residential Hospice for their compassionate care given to Maureen.
