Mr. Alden Dean Jr

Alden J. Dean Jr, of Millington passed away early Saturday morning May 18, 2013 at his residence, Alden was 83.

Alden was the son of the late Alden J & Nettie (Meyers) Dean Sr. and was born on November 19, 1929 in Flint Michigan. On October 17, 1953 Alden married Miss Donna Shamel, and together he and Donna have celebrated 59 years of marriage. Alden retired from General Motors Chevrolet Division (Chevy in the Whole) in 1990 after 38 years of employment. As young man Alden served our country during the Korean War in the US-Navy. He was a long time Member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Otisville, and has been an active member with the Millington Lions Club. Alden was also a member of the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post # 164 of Millington. Because of Alden's love for the library the family has asked that you consider the Millington - Arbela District Library or the Millington Lions Club when considering a gift in Alden's memory.

Alden leaves his wife Donna, two daughters, Carol Clemons, and Linda Osterman, three granddaughters, Amanda, Kelly, and Shianne, five great grandchildren, Hannah, Gabrielle, Zaine, Michael, and Jayson, his sister Mrs. Marilyn Lowrey. Alden leaves all so several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

The Dean family has honored Alden's request and cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the St Francis Catholic Church in Otisville. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the services begin.

Because of Alden's love for the library the family has asked that you consider the Millington - Arbela District Library or the Millington Lions Club when considering a gift in Alden's memory.
