Mr. Arlo Gager

Mr. Arlo Gager of Vassar, Michigan formerly of Millington, Michigan passed away late Saturday afternoon May 9, 2015 at St. Mary's of Saginaw, Michigan. Arlo was 88.

Arlo was born in Alma, Michigan on September 13, 1926 and was the son of the late Cornelius and Anna (Schafera) Gager. In 1954 Arlo married Miss Norma Harneck, and before her passing in 2012 they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Arlo was retired from Super Foods after 42 years of employment. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 337, and was very proud to be one of the first employees of Super Foods to join the union. He loved to travel; Arlo loved the fact that he had visited 48 of the 50 states. Arlo loved to camp and most of all loved being with family.

Arlo leaves to cherish his memory, four sons and two daughter's in-law. Dan Gager, Tim and Debbie Gager, Jeff Gager, Mark and Glenda Gager. In addition to his children; Arlo leaves his grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, and Zacharey, his great grandchildren, Nathyn, Joe, Hope and Kayla. Besides his wife and parents, Arlo is also preceded in death by two sons Stephen and Michael Gager, two brothers John and Bernard Gager, and a sister Naomi.

The Gager family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Friday May 15, 2015 beginning at 11:00 am. Funeral services for Arlo will be held also on Friday at the Hanlin Funeral Home at 1: 00 pm. Arlo will be laid to rest at the Millington Township Cemetery in Millington, Michigan. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of one's choice.
