Mr. Billy Lansford

Mr. Billy E. Lansford of Millington passed away at St. Mary's of Saginaw early Thursday morning August 20, 2015. Billy was 83.

Billy was born on Jonesboro Arkansas on November 16, 1931 and was the son of the late Johnny and Gladys (Eggers) Lansford. In March of 1951 Billy married Miss Elizabeth Deeds, and together they have celebrated 64 years of marriage. Billy retired from Fisher -1 of Saginaw Street of the General Motors Division, after 30 years of employment. While working for GM; Billy also 19 years as District Committee rep. for his fellow workers. Billy loved to hunt, fish, travel, and take vacations (as long some fishing could be worked in to the plan). Billy along with Elizabeth has both been longtime members of the Otisville Church of Christ.

Billy leaves; his wife Elizabeth. Two son's Robert (Bob) and Rick Lansford, a daughter Rhonda and husband Al Jordon. He leaves also 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two sister's Joann Crocker, and June Gilbert, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Billy is preceded in death by a son Russell Lansford in Oct. of 2012, and also by his parents.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Monday from 12:00 pm until the services begin. Funeral services for Billy will be held on Monday August 24, 2015 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington beginning at 2:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Gunnell Cemetery in Arbela, Millington, MI. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
