Mr. David J. (Dave) Cobb a lifetime Millingon resident passed away late Wednesday morning January 25, 2017 with his family at his side while at the Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Dave was 73.


Dave was one of four children of the late Cleo and Marie (Buecher) Cobb, and was born on September 9, 1943 in Saginaw, MI. Dave graduated from Millington High School. After high school, he served our country in the US-Army and was station in Germany. On June 19, 1965 Dave married Miss Debbie Sebert, and together she and Dave have celebrated 51 years of marriage. Dave was retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors, retiring in 1994 after 30 years of employment. Dave was very active in the community; he was involved with the Millington JC’s, Millington Lions Club, worked on the chain gang with the Millington Youth Football, was a past member of the Millington Board of Education, and was currently serving on the Millington Village Council, and was still a member of the UAW Local 599. He was an avid Millington Cardinal fan, every Friday night on the sidelines of the grid-iron hollering at the referee’s “To Much Time” or setting in the gym bleachers hollering “The Middles Open” or “He’s been doing that all-night ref. “His smile and friendship will be greatly missed, as he walked around town everyday meeting and greeting friends and neighbors of Millington. To a great friend of our community it’s not “good bye”,” just see ya later”.


Dave leaves his wife; Debbie. He also leaves his children; daughter Dana and Dan Pudelko, son Don Cobb, and foster son Greg Jajo. Dave also leaves seven grandchildren; Anthony Crystal, and Charles Pudelko, Lexi, Kenzie, Rece, and Rylee Cobb. Two brothers and a sister in-law; Dick and Elaine Cobb, Mike Cobb, brother in-law Ken Murringer, best friend from childhood through life Larry Betz. Leaving also; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends. Besides his parents, Dave is also preceded in death by; a sister Mary Anne Murringer, sister in-law Pauline Cobb, mother and father in-law Chris and Bob Sebert, nephews Chuck Sebert and BJ Leach.


The Cobb family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Sunday January 29, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and also on Monday for a brief time at the church from 10:00 am until services begin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday January 30, 2017 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville, MI. Following the services the family will honor Dave's wishes and cremation will take place. Later this year as Dave has requested; his urn will be placed at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holy, MI, with Military Honors.
