Mr. Dennis Mills

Mr. Dennis F. Mills of Vassar, MI and the Millington area passed away early Monday morning June 5, 2017 at his residence. Dennis was 81.

Dennis was born in Millington, MI on October 19, 1935, and was the son of the late Fieldyen C. and Florence (Jobson) Mills. Dennis served in the US-Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Eaton-Greedy Foundry in Vassar, MI after 28 years of employment. Dennis loved to fish and spend quality time with family. His wife of many years; Betty Mills (Schwab) has preceded him in death in October of 2009.

Dennis leaves his family to cherish his memory. He leaves; son and daughter in-law, Dennis and Cheri Mills Jr., and a daughter Stacey Rodstad. Dennis leaves also six grandchildren, 10-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, and wife, Dennis is also preceded in death by; a daughter Kimberlin Mills, a brother Jim Mills, and a sister Sue Ide.

The Mills family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and for a brief time Thursday morning from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services for Dennis will be at 11:00 am Thursday June 8, 2017 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. The Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post 164 of Millington will conduct Military Honors to conclude cemetery services.
