Mr. Duane Russell

Mr. Duane K. Russell of Millington MI, passed away early Wednesday evening, while at the McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint, MI. Duane was 74.

Duane was born in Flint, Michigan on January 9, 1942, and was the son of the late Marion and Blanche (Keith) Russell. Duane was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School. On December 9, 1961 Duane married Miss Vivian Pinchock, and together Duane and Vivian have celebrated 54 years of marriage. In 1969 Duane purchased the Pac-A-Lite Manufacturing Company, which was a small manufacturing company in Mt. Morris, MI. In 1980 with his business growing Duane moved the business to Otisville, MI into a larger facility; where the business remained in operation until his retirement in 2012.

Duane leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Vivian. He leaves also four children; son David and wife Sonja Russell, daughter Susan and husband Mark Jensen, daughter Linda and husband Jason Petzold, and son Kevin and wife Lindsey Russell. Duane leaves also 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his extended family and friends.

The Russell family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Sunday October 30, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Monday from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed the Millington Fire Fighters or to a charity of one’s choosing.
