Mr. Eugene Sampson

Mr. Eugene W. (Butch) Sampson of Millington passed away early Tuesday morning September 6, 2016 while at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Butch was 70.

Butch was born on September 4, 1946 in Wakefied, Michigan and was the son of the late Eugene and Vernie (Shirkey) Sampson. On October 24, 1970 Butch married Miss Kathleen Hawkins and together they have celebrated 45 years of marriage. Butch for 25 years plus Butch has had his own business of installing windows and siding homes. Most recently he had been employed with Vinyl- Sash and Windows of Lapeer, Michigan. Butch loved working outside, he loved to fish, and most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

Butch leaves his wife; Kathleen. He leaves also his children; Eugenia and husband Joshua Hoffman, Jennifer and husband Matthew Burcar, Michael Sampson, Ashley Sampson and her special friend Richard Osborn. He leaves also eight grandchildren; Kyle, William, Bradley, Keith, Thomas, Emma, Victoria, and Shophia, two sisters Nadine, and Christine, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Besides his parents, Butch is also precede in death by a brother Michael, and his step-father Donald Sampson.

Kathleen and the family have honored the wishes of Butch and cremation has taken place. There will be a service to celebrate his life at a later date.
