Mr. Floyd E. Hancock Sr of Millington passed away late Thursday afternoon March 22, 2012 while at the Ranek Adult Foster Care Home in Millington, Floyd was 92.

The son of the late Charles & Lorena (Kerr) Hancock Floyd was born on July 12, 1919 in Sheldon Iowa. During WW II Floyd served our country in the US-Army Air Corp. When he returned home he married his wife of 66 years Miss Ruth Rockentine. Floyd retired in 1982 from Western Electric.

Floyd leaves wife Ruth, children; Floyd (Arch) & wife Mary Hancock Jr., Greg & Marilyn Hancock, Kristine & husband Raleigh Simpson, Charles Hancock, Kari Carilise, and Rebecca Hancock, ten grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Service Information

Funeral services were held on Monday March 26, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. Pastor Pete Crawford delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery.

The burial followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery; the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post 164 concluded services with Military Honors. Memorial Gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of one's choice.
