Mr. George Ward Sr

Mr. George Ward of Millington passed away suddenly early Saturday morning January 21, 2012 at the McLaren Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, George was 78.

George was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on June 23, 1933, and was the son of Albert & Bernice (Kenneth) Ward. George's father Albert passed in the mid-1930, and his mother later remarried Georges step-father Lloyd Fuller, both Bernice and Lloyd has preceded George in death. After high school George served our country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. On February 26, 1956 George married Miss Betty Bukoski, and together he and Betty have celebrated 55 years together.

George loved spending time with family and friends. He loved hunting, playing cards, doing puzzles, and making an occasional visit to area casinos.

George leaves his wife Betty, children, Denise & Keith Racke, George Ward Jr., and Patty & John Gore, four grandchildren, George David, Stuart, Jack, and Nathan, great-granddaughter Natalie. George leaves also, brother and sister in-law, Jim & Cathy Ward, step-sisters, Pat & Duane LaBair, Susie & Matt Peranio , as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Besides his parents, and step father George is also preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra and LuAnne and a step sister Sandra March.

The family has honored Georges request and cremation has taken place. A gathering and a time of sharing was held Tuesday January 24, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington Michigan.
