Gordon L. Gross Sr. a longtime Millington resident passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at his residence with his family at his side, Gordon was 76.

Gordon was born in Millington on May 16, 1936 and was the son of the late Lewis and Clarabelle Gross; he was a graduate of Millington High School. He retired from General Motors Chevy in the whole as crane operator after 45 years of employment, retiring in 1999.

Gordon leaves his wife of 44 years Doris, children, Julie Colman, Michelle Barclay, Gordon Gross Jr. and wife Toni, Rodney Meeker, Debra Chandler, Russell Meeker, Denise & husband Paul Grafenberg, Dan & wife Stephanie Meeker, Dana & husband Steve Roggentine, 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters in-law Jerry Gross, Gene & Peggy Gross, and Dick & wife Sharon Gross, and a sister Mrs. Gayle O'Brien, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents Gordon is preceded in death by a brother James (Jim) Gross and a brother in-law Glen O'Brien.

Service Information

Funeral services were held on Wednesday June 27, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home, with the burial that followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor Tom Dinan delivered the funeral message and the prayers of committal at the cemetery.
