Mr. Jackson Garwood

August 3, 1946 — February 23, 2012

Jackson (Jack) Garwood of Otisville MI, passed away suddenly early Thursday morning February 23, 2012 at his residence, Jack was 65.

Jack was born in Bellefontain, Ohio, and was the son of Malcolm & Ruby (Dye) Floss. Jack had been employed as a Union Rep. Committee Man for the V-8 Engine Plant, Jack was known by all as a very well respected Committee Man. Jack also as a young man served our country in the US-Navy serving in Japan. Jack married Kathy Jackson in December 21, 1975, together she and Jack have celebrated 35 years of marriage. Jack loved working in the yard, and gardening, he loved most of all spending time with family, his three grandsons, and friends. Jack also loved playing and spending time with his sidekick his little dog Tuffy.

Jack leaves his wife Katie, his daughter Wyndi Morrison, three grandsons Matthew, Spencer, and Noah, two special sisters, Phillis Blum, and Bonnie Ball, also his other siblings, six brothers, and two sisters, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Jack is preceded in death by a son Casey in 1999, and three sisters.

Service Information


A celebration of Jacks life was held on Monday February 27, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington.

Following the services Jack was laid to rest at the Flint Memorial Park Garden Mausoleum in Mt. Morris Michigan. Military Honors concluded the services at the cemetery, conducted by the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post 164 of Millington. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the Genesee County Humane Society.
