Mr. Leland Clothier

October 23, 1927 — May 8, 2012

Leland J. Clothier a longtime Millington and Watertown Township resident passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Tuesday evening May 8, 2012 with family at his side, Leland was 84.

Leland was born in Koylton Township of Kingston Michigan on October 23, 1927, and was the son of Lawrence & Genevieve (Milligan) Clothier. Leland and his wife Melvina Patricia settled here in the Millington and Watertown Township area and raised their family. Leland served our country during WW-II in the US-Army. He also retired out of General Motors working many years and retiring from final inspection. Leland was an active and long time member of the Fostoria Baptist Church. He loved to hunt ,fish and spend time with family and friends.

Leland leaves to cherish his memory; six children; Laura Lindsey, David Clothier, Cheryl & Steve Hoban, Deborah & Dean Spradlin, Kathryn & David Knoblauch, and James & Linda Clothier, 27-grandchildren, and 41 great-grand children, many other extended family members and friends. Leland is preceded in death by his wife Melvina Patricia, son Richard, grandson L.J. and infant twin sons.

Service Information

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and also Friday morning after 10:00 AM until the services begin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday May 11, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home with the burial to follow at the Watertown Township Cemetery in Fostoria MI.

The Conrad-Wager& Keene American Legion Post #164 of Millington will conduct Military Honors which will conclude the services at the cemetery.
