Mr. Louis Burkowski

Mr. Louis (Lou) S. Burkowski of Millington, Mi passed away peacefully on Sunday
February 3, 2019 surrounded by his greatest loves. Louis was 74.

Louis was the son of Walter and Florence (Kolaja) Burkowski.
He was born on November 19, 1944 in Millington, Mi. Louis served in the Seabee’s
during Vietnam. After he returned from serving in Vietnam, he worked for Buick
Motor Division for 30 years as a welder. Lou was known to be a very giving
and loving person.  Lou loved nature and gardening. He was an amazing artist; He could paint beautiful pictures of nature and he could take a peice of wood or wax and create a masterpiece. He was a wealth of knowledge and a true patriach of his family. By far his greatest accomplishments were his four children. Lou lived life by leaving nothing behind, he lived life open handed and open hearted. He will be greatly missed.

Louis is survived by his four children; Lou D. (Becky) Burkowski,
Jim (Ammie) Burkowski, Jacki  (Lanny) Burkowski, Debbie  (Carlos) Burkowski-Suarez.
Louis leaves six

grandchildren; Brittnie, Brandon, Londyn, Bradey, Kolby, and Bradley.
Louis also leaves three siblings; Joanne (Larry) Parker, Walt Burkowski, and
Cathe Leach. Also, several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The Burkowski family has honored Louis’s wishes and cremation
has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in
Millington, MI on Friday February 8, 2019 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The memorial
service will be held at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Saturday February
9, 2019 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the donations can be made to the
Millington Community Center (Food Pantry).
