Mr. Lyle Burns

Mr. Lyle J. Burns of Millington, MI age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday June 7,2019. He was born in Millington, MI on December 17, 1934, the youngest child of Harry and Mildred (Bush) Burns.

Lyle was a graduate of Millington High School class of 1953.  While he was in study hall at Millington, he became acquainted with Beulah Hunt. Their first date was in April 1949, and they married on January 30, 1954. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. Lyle was a member of the Richfield Church of the Nazarene, the Cass River Camp of the Gideon’s and the Millington-Arbela Historical Society.

Lyle is survived by his wife Beulah. He is also survived by four children: Cindy (Dave) Simon, Christy Burns, Ronald (Kim) Burns, and Amy (John) Louks. Lyle leaves his 10 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. A sister; Viola Kinney, and a brother Alfred Burns.  Lyle is preceded in death by; his parents Harry and Mildred, three brothers, George, Norman, and Lloyd, and a great grandson Samuel Simon.

The Burns family will receive friends on Monday June 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI and for a brief time on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the funeral begins.  Funeral services for Lyle will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the Hanlin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am, the burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor Alan Duce will deliver the funeral message, and the closing prayer at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family asked that you please consider one of the following for Memorial Gifts of Remembrance; Millington-Arbela Historical Society, Gideon’s, Richfield Church of the Nazarene, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
