Mac Neven Petteys of Millington passed away into eternal life early Sunday April 10, 2011 at his residence with his family at his side Mac was 93.

The son of Wells & Marry (MacNeven) Petteys, Mac was born on July 26, 1917 in Flint Michigan. The Petteys family move to Millington in 1936, where Mac meet and married his wife the former Marie Mills in 1941, Marie and Mac celebrated 66 years of marriage before her passing in July of 2007. In 1945 Mac was drafted into the US-Army and was later sent to Germany. Upon his separation from the Army Mac returned home and became employed with the AC-Spark Plug Division of General Motors in Flint, and retired after 37 years of employment.

Mac leaves behind many sadden family members: daughters & sons in-law; Patricia & Darwin Beckett of Great Falls MT, Janice & Jack Briggs of Millington MI, Karen (Dale Cowley) Petteys of Sandusky MI, grandchildren: Diane (Jonathan) Logan, of Great Falls MT; Robert Beckett of Sammamish WA; James (Denise) Briggs of Birch Run MI; Tony Mac (Graciela) Morton of Deckerville MI; Tracee (Harold) Gough of Deckerville MI; Tammi ( Russ Winiarski) Johnson of Peck MI, twenty great grandchildren, ranging in the ages of 2 years to 20 years old. Besides his wife Mac was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jacquelyn (Briggs) Main in February of 2007. Service Information

The funeral services for Mac were held Thursday April 14, 2011 at the Hanlin Funeral Home; Pastor Eric Slade delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Burial followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. The Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post 164 concluded services with Military Honors. Hanlin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
