Mr.Patrick Bassett

Mr. Patrick J. (Pat) Bassett a long time Millington resident passed away late Monday afternoon while at the Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc MI, Pat was 77.


Pat was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 6, of 1937 and was the son of the late Chauncey & Francis (Ratza) Bassett. On July 30th, of 1955 Pat married Miss Leah Revesz, together he and Leah have celebrated 59 years of marriage. Pat retired in 1987 from Flint Truck and Bus of General Motors after 32 years of employment.

Pat leaves to cherish his memory, wife Leah, Children; Scott and wife Barb Bassett, Randy and wife Nancy Bassett, Gary Bassett, Janeen and husband Jim Witmer, Chris and wife Rochelle Bassett, Jody and husband Dan McCoy, Pat leaves also a son In-law Joseph Knapp, 16 grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Besides his parents Pat is preceded in death by a daughter Janice Knapp, and a brother Chauncey III.

There was a time of sharing and remembrance was held at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday Oct. 1, 2014. Honoring Pat's request cremation has taken place.
