Mrs. Bernetta (Nyle) Pickard of Davison, Michigan formerly of Millington, Michigan, passed away early Wednesday evening February 10, 2016 while at the Genesys Regional Medical Center, under the care of Reverent Hospice. Nyle was 81.


Nyle was born in Millington, Michigan on August 9, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Clara Schaffer. Nyle grew up here in Millington graduating from the Millington High School. After graduation she went on to business school and through her business school education became a bookkeeper. Through her career she was employed for many different companies, but retired from the Tuscola-Saginaw and Bay Rail-Road. She worked for TS&B Rail Road for over 20 years retiring in 1998. While living in Millington; Nyle attended the Millington Baptist Church and served the church in many different capacities. She had been most recently attending the Journey Ministry in Davison, Michigan.

Nyle leaves her children. Daughters; Deb and Brooks Armstrong, Diane and Ron Stier, and son Bob and Laura Pickard. She leaves also her 12 grandchildren; Bryan Meoak, Michael Meoak, Tyler Rose Meoak, Lucas and Sarah Stier, Kelly Mae Stier, Garrett Stier, Zachary and Jessica Pickard, Aaron Pickard, Ashley and Robert Silvester, Robert Jacob Pickard, Ethan Pickard, and Ryan Pickard. Nyle leaves eight great grandchildren, other extended family and friends.

The family has honored Nyles wish and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life on Monday February 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Millington Baptist Church (4727 E. Center Street). The family will greet friends on Monday beginning at 10:00 am. Following the services the family would like to invite you to a lunch and time of fellowship. In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask you to consider memorial gifts to Journey’ Ministry . Nyle in life was very passionate for the Missionary's and the world Ministry.
