Mrs. Ada Hoard

Mrs. Ada Mae Hoard of Otter Lake, Michigan, passed away early Friday morning November 10, 2017 while at the Vassar Field Assisted Living in Vassar, MI, Ada was 91.

Ada was born on October 21, 1926 in Otter Lake, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Blanch (Burns). On April 27, 1945 Ada married Mr. William B. Hoard, and together she and Bill celebrated 70 years of marriage before Bill passed away in December 2015. Ada and Bill owned and operated Bill’s Market, Bill’s Drive-inn and the Artic Cat snowmobile dealer ship, in Otter Lake, MI. Ada was a life member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Otter Lake, MI. She and Bill ware also members of the Mid-Michigan Mustang Club. Ada enjoyed her winter with her husband at Alameda Isles, Englewood FL. She also loved golfing, spending time at the beach, swimming, boating and crafting.

Ada leaves her two children. William (Bill) and Connie Hoard, Susan and Robert Seidell. She leaves also her grandchildren; Timothy, Brad, Kathryn, and Gregory, her great-grandchildren; Jason, Marcus, Gabbie, Grant, Raegan, Ace, Taylor, and Maddison, and a great -great granddaughter Everly. Besides her husband and parents, Ada is also preceded in death by her siblings; Floyd, Leo, Ruth, Dorene, and Winifred.

The Hoard family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Mi on Sunday November 12, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services will beat the Hanlin Funeral Home on Monday November 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm, the burial will follow at the Watertown Twp. Cemetery in Fostoria, MI.
