Mrs. Bonnie Walters

Mrs. Bonnie Lee Mae Walters of Millington passed away Thursday August 28, 2015 while at the McLaren Lapeer Regional Medical Center in Lapeer, MI. Bonnie was 76.


Bonnie was the daughter of the late Robert and Etta (Ziy) Daniels, and was born in Flint, Michigan on August 7, 1939. On September 16, 1961 Bonnie married E. James (Jim) Walters, and together they have celebrated 53 years of marriage. Bonnie: was an office assistant to the well respected dermatologist Dr. McGrae MD of Flint, Michigan for 16 years. After her and Jim retired they settled in Millington living on Murphy lake.


Bonnie leaves her husband Jim. She also leaves her two children; son James Walters, and a daughter Julie and her husband Larry Proffer, grandchildren; Jay Walters, Dana Walters, Nicole Walters, and Jamie Sharon, a great grandson Jace Walters. Bonnie leaves also other extended family and many friends. Besides her parents Bonnie is also preceded in death by a sister Connie.


The Walters family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Tuesday September 1, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. and also on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the services begin. Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday September 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Greg Capsule will deliver the funeral message and the closing prayers.
