Mrs. Elsie Haynes

Mrs. Elsie Jane (Gipson) Haynes of Millington passed away early Thursday morning July 31, 2014 at her daughters residence, Elsie was 90.

Elsie was born in Rochelle IL, on December 31, of 1923 and was the daughter of the late Ervie & Isabelle (Mathews) Gipson. Elsie celebrated 61 years of marriage to her husband Orville Haynes; Orville has preceded her in death in the year of 2002. Elsie enjoyed crafting, cake decorating, traveling, and going to the casinos. She at one time owned her own drapery shop.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, three daughters and son in-laws, Gloria & husband Bob Barnum, Linda & husband Dean Goss, Susan & husband David Rudzki and a son John Haynes, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild. Elsie also leaves her brother in-laws, Robert Haynes, and Stan Strader, five sister in-laws, Nina Haynes, Betty Haynes, Marion Haynes, Nancy Strader, and Lee Gipson as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family. Besides her parents and husband Elsie is also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services for Elsie were held at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Saturday August 2, 2014 Cremation as Elsie (as Elsie had requested) has followed the services.
