Mrs. Emma L. (Herzog) Higgins of Millington passed away Thursday July 28, 2011 at her son's residence, Emma was 84.

Emma L. Herzog the daughter of the late John & Claudia (Riese) Herzog was born on April 19, 1927 in Birch Run Township. On August 21st, 1948 Emma married her late husband Emil Higgins, Emil preceeds her in death in December of 1999. Emma has been a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and has served for many years on the Dorcus Society.

Emma leaves four children, Gerald & wife Renee Higgins, Marjorie & husband Rev. Daniel McVey, Dale Higgins, and Sandra & husband Randall Walker, eight grandchildren, Rev. Nathan & wife Jenny Higgins, Hillary & husband Seth Esterline, Mary & husband Joe Buschmann, Cody Higgins, William McVey, Dusty Higgins, Jeffrey Higgins, and Matthew Walker, four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Emma, Emilia, and Moira, two sisters; Marie Baker, and Ruth Mocny, sister in-law Mrs. Lela Higgins, and three other sister in-laws., as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Service Information

Funeral services were held on Tuesday August 2, 201hat at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the burial that followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
