Mrs. Harriet (Guthrie)Hunt

Mrs. Harriet M. (Guthrie) Hunt of Millington passed away early Thursday afternoon October 1, 2015 at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, MI. Harriet was 82.

Harriet was born in Gilford, Michigan on July 5, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (Weiss) Guthrie. She was a 1952 graduate of Fairgrove High School. On April 25, 1958 Harriet married her husband of 57 years Raymond Hunt. Harriet loved gardening, and watching the wild life that from time to time made their way into her back yard. When Harriet was able she actively attended the Millington Church of the Nazarene.

Harriet leaves her husband Raymond, her children; Carol and husband Lonnie Kester, and Brenda and husband Paul Price. She leaves also her grandchildren; William Kester, Sarah and husband Nathanael Thayer, a great grandson Evan Thayer. Harriet leaves a dear friend Wilma, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides her parents Harriet is also preceded in death by; three brothers, Norman, Paul, Walter; four sisters, Arlene, Gwendolyn, Marion, and Helen. She is also preceded by an infant daughter and son.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 at the Millington Church of the Nazarene from 11: 00 am until the services begin. Funeral services for Harriet will be held also at the Millington Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Gunnell Cemetery in Arbela Township. Pastor Dawn Richie will deliver the funeral message and the closing prayer at the cemetery.
