Mrs. Helen M. (Mills) Laycock of Millington passed away late Monday April 18, 2011 while at the Covenant Health Care Center - Harrison Campus in Saginaw MI, Helen was 86.

Helen was born in Port Huron Michigan on May 8th 1924 and as a young child grew up in the Flint -Kersley area where she graduated from Kersley High School in 1943. As a young lady of 22 years of age, Helen moved to Millington where she has been a resident since 1946. Helen was married to the late George Laycock , George has preceded her in death in August of 1994. Helen has been in the past an active member of the Millington Church of the Nazarene, however, due to her health she has not been able to attend church services.

Left to cherish Helen's memory is her daughter & son in-law, Sharon & Jim Bailey, two granddaughters, Jammie Ryan, and Tammy & husband Harvey Sherman III, four great grandchildren; Crystal, Jacob, Helen, and Alexandra. Besides her husband Helen is also preceded in death by a brother Charles Millis, and her step-mother Mrs. Genevieve (Gen) Mills.

Service Information

The funeral services for Helen were held Thursday April 21, 2011 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. Helen will then be laid to rest at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. If you would like to give a gift in Helens memory the family has suggested that you do so to a charity of your choice.
