Mrs. Ila Raymond

Mrs. Ila Elaine (Hoard-Foster) Raymond of Dearborn Heights formerly of Millington, passed away early Friday morning July 27, 2012 while at the Cart Wright Hospice Center in Saginaw Township, Saginaw MI, Ila was 91.

Ila was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Gibson) Hoard. She was born in Forest Township, Michigan on July 6, 1921 and grew up in Millington. Ila loved to dance and as a young lady she danced to many of the "Big Bands", she loved making her world famous peanut butter fudge that no one could ever come close to coping her secret. She loved playing games and when she played the games she only had one objective and that was to win. Ila was an avid reader, she loved spending time with her family and her friends. Though she will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her she will be remembered as doing it her way for 91 years.

Ila leaves her children; son Rolland Foster, Garnet & Matt Ollila, Charlotte & Carl Lukosius, and Frank & Michelle Foster, thirteen grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sisters; Crystal Sebert, and Norma Harris, as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Ila was preceded in death by Floyd, Helena, Beula, Ruth, Marge, Gladys, Dorothy, Charles, daughter in-law Margie Foster, and granddaughter Ronda Lucarelli.

Funeral services were held at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday July 31, with burial that followed at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to a charity of one's choice.
