Mrs. Joanne Hitsman

Mrs. Joanne M. (Jay) Hitsman of Millington passed away early Saturday morning July 12, 2014 while at the Crestmont Nursing Care facility in Fenton, Michigan, Joanne was 67.

Joanne was the daughter of the late Edward & Dorothy (Hill) Jay, she was born on September 1, of 1946 in Detroit Michigan and has been a Millington area resident most of her life. In November of 1985 Joanne married Clarence Hitsman, and together they have celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Joanne leaves her husband Clarence, a son Michael Schnettler, her step-children; Susie Hitsman, Debbie & husband David Jewell, Kathy & husband Mark Ross, Rick & wife Judy Hitsman, Steve & wife Tina Hitsman, Jeff Hitsman(Patty), Kim & Jim Hoffman, and Jason & Melinda Hitsman, two grand children Deirdra, and Trey, as well as several step-grandchildren, several siblings, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents Joanne is preceded in death by her daughter Tami.

The Hitsman family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 2:00 pm unti 8:00 pm, and an hour prior to the funeral services on Wednesday from 10:00 am until services begin. Funeral services will be at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Arbela Township.
