Mrs. Marilyn F. (Atkin) Myers of Millington passed away late Monday April 25, 2011 while at the Covenant Health Care Center - Cooper Campus of Saginaw MI, Marilyn was 75.

Marilyn F. Atkin the daughter of the late Linton & Marian (Dolliver) Atkin was born in Millington MI on June 14, 1935, and has been a lifelong Millington resident. On August 17, of 1957 Marilyn married her husband of 53 years, Gerald Myers. Marilyn and Gerald made Millington their home where they raised their family and operated the Myers Dairy Farm until they retired from farming. Marilyn also worked for 27 years at Simons Grocery Store as a Stock Clerk.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory is her husband Gerald and five children, Cindy Rumney, Ken Myers, Julie & Daniel Fifield, Gerald Myers II, and Tony Myers, 11 grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, a brother Linton Clare Atkin, three sisters,Margaret Simon, Kathleen Verrette and Irene Fellows, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides her parents Marilyn is preceded in death by two brothers, George & Donald Atkin, and a sister Edith Kennedy.

Funeral services for Marilyn were held Friday April 29, 2011, at the Hanlin Funeral Home, with the burial that followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor William Guiger delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting with the arrangements.
