Mrs. Shirley Walker

Mrs. Shirley Ann (Weston) Walker of Millington, MI, passed away early Saturday November 5, 2016 at the Caro Community Hospital in Caro, MI. Shirley was 69.

Shirley was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 8, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Willard and Elsa (Brown) Weston. On August 21, 1969 Shirley married Frederick Walker and together they have celebrated 47 years of marriage. Shirley was a member of the Millington Church of the Nazarene where she has been actively attending.

Shirley leaves, her husband Fred. She leaves also her children; Frederick and Wendy Walker II, Theodore Walker, Deborah Johnson, Patricia and husband Keith Doncouse, Kimberly Johnson, and Sherry Hizer. Shirley leaves also her grandchildren; Sharayah, Samantha, Teddy, David, Erin, Jeffrey, Danielle, Aimee, Rebekah, Joshua, Cody, and Tiffany, she leaves also 7-great grandchildren, three sisters; Diane, Corrine and husband Bud Crawford, Wendy and husband Tim Rudd, a brother; Rodney and wife Carol Weston, as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Besides her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death by a daughter Ann Marie Weston, a sister Trudy Sweet, and a brother Jeffrey Weston.

The Walker family has honored Shirly’s wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm. The celebration will take place at the Millington Church of the Nazarene (8692 State St. Millington, MI), and the family will greet friends at the church beginning at 12:00 pm up until the services begin.
