Mrs. Verbia Babcock

Mrs. Verbia J. (Hauger) Babcock a long time Vassar resident passed away suddenly Thursday evening November 1, 2012 at her residence, Verbia was 71.

Verbia was born in Saginaw Michigan on October 4, 1941 and was the daughter of the late George & Christine (Meister) Haugher. On October 10, 1964 she married her late husband Joseph Babcock, Joe precedes her in death in October of 2009. Verbia has also been a long time member of the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar.

Verbia leaves her family four daughters and two sons in-laws Robin Babcock, Tina & Tim Tempelton, Jody & Mike Brozenski and Bridget Babcock, grandchildren, Joey & Threasa Kata, Joshua Larson, Lindsy Larsen, Whitney Tempelton, and Marissa Tempelton, one great granddaughter Chelsea Leigh Kata, two brothers and a sister in-law Bill Hauger, and Richard & Betty Hauger , two sisters, Frances Hauger, and Lorrine Hayes , a sister in-law Brenda Babcock. Verbia also leaves many nieces, nphews, other extended family and many friends. Besides her parents and husband Verbia is also preceded in death by a great-grandson Aiden Joseph Kata, a brother LeRoy Hauger, and a sister Jane Milliken.

Service Information

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday November 8, 2012 at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. Farther Richard Jozwiak celebrated the mass. At Verbia request cremation has taken place. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of one's choice.
