Mr. William Bretzloff

Mr. William D (Bill) Bretzloff of the Millington and Watertown Township, MI areas. Bill passed away early Sunday morning May 7. 2017 while at McLaren – Bay Regional in Bay City, MI. Bill was 83.

Bill was born in Mayville, MI on September 23, 1933 and was the son of the late William and Lena (Leix) Bretzloff. Bill served a tour of duty in the US Air-Force between the Korean War and WW-II. He had retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors after 36 years of service, retiring as an engineer. Bill was a member of the UAW Local 599, he was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI.

Bill leaves his family. His three children; Robert (Bob) and Shelia Williams, Mark and Denise Williams, and Hope and Bob Hilgendorf. He leaves his seven grandchildren; Mark, Jack, Rob, Kate, Mindy, Scott, and Josh, great grandchildren; Skyler, Olivia, Jordan, Aliyah, Emma, Cole, Ella, and Lucy. Bill leaves also several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by; his siblings, and his wives Rosemary in 1999, and Faylene in 2016.

The Bretzloff family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and there will be a brief time of visitation at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the services begin. Funeral services for Bill will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, MI on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 1:00 pm. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor James Bruner will deliver the funeral message, and the closing prayer at the cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, or to a charity of one’s choice.
